Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. provides employment opportunities for
current clients and others who are in recovery. These positions are
part-time, based in the Food Services and Custodial departments at
DBH, and are limited to the needs of these departments.
Janitorial
Duties and responsibilities associated with the janitor positions
include, but are not limited to:
- Keep the buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
- Clean entrances, lobby’s, hallways, group rooms, restrooms,
offices, kitchens and break rooms.
- Clean and re-stock restrooms
- Vacuum
- Gather trash inside and outside of the buildings
- Dust
- Clean windows
- Other jobs assigned to you by the supervisor
Food Services
Duties and responsibilities associated with the food service worker
positions include, but are not limited to:
- Follow core recipes and production lists to prep ingredients and
ensure a quality and consistent outcome
- Utilizes kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as: knives,
slicers, whips, pots, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens etc.
- Follow guidelines and department job aides (recipes and task
lists) to ensure ingredients are ready to be used to avoid setbacks
or delays in kitchen operations
- Maintain appearance of food by refilling products, setting up
supplies, and ensuring station is well-merchandised and signs are
properly displayed
- Ensure proper temperatures of hot and cold food following
operational guidelines and state requirements
- Properly handle products, equipment, keeps accurate logs and
follows sanitation practices in accordance with food and human
safety guidelines
- Learn, use and be able to explain basic cooking techniques and
culinary terms
- Assists dishwashers and receiving as needed
- Assists with all cleaning responsibilities, during and at the end
of each shift
- Understand how to lift and move supplies safely and know when to
ask for assistance
It is highly preferred that individuals who are interested in
obtaining employment at DBH, their spouse, or one of their dependents
are not actively receiving services at DBH except for medication
management services to eliminate/avoid possible conflicts or
uncomfortable boundaries.
Janitorial
Job requirements include:
- Ability to stand for extended period of time.
- Ability to frequently move, bend and reach.
- Ability to frequently carry, lift, or position up to 50 pounds.
- Self-starter who requires minimum direction and supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-centered atmosphere.
- Willingness to help others as required or requested.
- Positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Ability to use a backpack vacuum.
Food Services
Job requirements include:
