Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a full-time
Psychologist, who is able to perform a variety of
full performance, professional, psychological assessments on adults
as well as be an active member of the adult mental health outpatient
therapy team. These assessments will be used for diagnostic and
treatment purposes and will result in written recommendations to the
treatment team. DBH staff may also be expected to perform other
duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor or the DBH
management team.
Essential Functions

Provide psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations to
clients and non-clients for, and in behalf of, Davis Behavioral Health.

Provide individual, group, couples, or family therapy.

Provide supervision and training to clinical psychology interns,
as assigned.

Receives referrals from all provider levels (case managers,
Masters and Ph.D. therapists, APRN, MD) for differential diagnosis
and treatment recommendations for their clients; conducts clinical
interviews, administers tests, scoring test results, interprets
and integrates results; writes evaluation reports; and provides
relevant/empirically supported treatment recommendations.

Conducts feedback sessions with clients and/or their
families/caregivers. Participates in staff and peer review
meetings; Coordinates with supervisors regarding issues and
problems that interfere with assignments, goals, treatment plans,
and projects.
The successful candidate will be a full-time, exempt employee of
Davis Behavioral Health, Inc.
Strong preference will also be given to candidates who are bilingual English/Spanish.
Compensation
- Fully-licensed psychologists are compensated at an annual rate of
$80,000.00+ credit for years of full-licensure experience as defined below
- 1% per year for each year of full-licensure experience between 0
and 10 years
- 1% for each additional three years of full-licensure experience thereafter
Schedule
The preferred schedule for this position will be discussed in detail
during the interview process, but will likely be Monday - Friday and
may be asked to work at least one evening until 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm,
but this is not required.

The successful candidate must be licensed as a Psychologist in the
State of Utah with experience in psychological assessments of adult,
adolescents, and children.
Must have the ability to perform under crisis situations; administer,
score, interpret and evaluate various psychological data and develop
treatment recommendations; establish professional leadership and
cooperative relationships with other DBH staff; communicate verbally
and in writing; develop and maintain effective working relationships
with executives, professionals, administrators, and the public.
Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of psychological
assessment, including testing, diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy
and behavioral therapy; diagnostic classifications and mental health
concepts and fundamentals; various psychological tests and evaluation
instruments; normal and abnormal psychology (mental illness and
diseases) including their symptoms, treatment and social implications;
evaluation and various forms of psychotherapy; client counseling
processes, techniques, and methods; have strong working knowledge of
current best practices regarding psychological assessment and
tests/protocols with demonstrated validity and reliability. The range
of tests, questionnaires, and interviews is extensive, and will
include cognitive, personality, functional behavior, continuous
performance, and other assessments as needed.
Strong preference will also be given to candidates who are bilingual
English/Spanish.
Experience as a crisis worker is a plus. This position requires using
psychological methods and principles to observe, interpret, and
evaluate data gathered through interviews, collateral consults, and
assessment methods. Contacts, utilizes, develops and coordinates with
community agencies and resources to support client needs. Excellent
communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.
Flexibility and knowledge of DBH and community resources preferred.
DBH utilizes an electronic medical health records system, so computer
literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
Required clinical documentation must be completed within established
timeframes: Preference for concurrent documentation. End of work day
is accectible if daily appointments do not allow for concurrent
documentation. Documentation should be completed no later than 24
hours after an appointment is held in the worst case scenario.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment
criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire
individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing
alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon
successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a
valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to
report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within
24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply
with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
